The Red Bank Buccaneer American Youth Football & Cheer League is a non-profit 501c3 organization providing local youth the opportunity to experience the challenge and excitement of organized competition and team work through recreational football and cheerleading programs
The mission of our program is to promote positive sportsmanship and physical and mental development while learning the basic fundamentals of football and cheer. We provide encouragement to our youth and their families by creating a positive atmosphere that fosters athletic, academic and social growth.
All Red Bank Buccaneer members have ¬ opportunity to participate in a tournament-friendly, supportive, family-oriented environment where they can develop and exhibit their athletic skills in an atmosphere that places as much emphasis on participation, as it does on competition.
The Red Bank Buccaneer American Youth Football & Cheer League believes that involving kids in sports is a great way for them to get the most out of life and activity through countless memories, friendships developed, lessons learned and values gained by participating. Participating in youth sports can teach kids a lot of valuable life lessons including how to work as a team, what makes a good leader, the value of hard work, and more. But one thing that youth sports should always teach kids is how to be a good sport.
Our hard-working athletes range from age 5 to 14 and both the football and cheer programs are open to all youth with no restrictions due to race, religion, gender or ability.
The Red Bank Buccaneer American Youth Football & Cheer League currently has a volunteer coaching staff of 25 parents and community partners. Many of our coaches participated in our program as players themselves and are giving back by coaching. In 2015, there were more than 125 football players and cheerleaders hailing from a dozen different Public, Private, Montessori and Charter Schools within the Red Bank area including Red Bank, Little Silver, Shrewsbury, Tinton Falls and Eatontown.
